HATTIE JONES was born March 23, 1901, in Helena, Arkansas to the union of George and Matilda Robinson. Her mother Matilda Grapes, was born on March 8, 1881 in Helena, Arkansas. She departed this life on March 3, 1972 at the age of 90.

HATTIE'S grandparents Alexander, born in Alabama and Lucy/Lucey Grapes, born in Kentucky.

HATTIE confessed a hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Morgan.

She later met and married Mr. Oliver Churchvill. To this union one son was born, John E. Churchvill.

She later moved to Chicago, Illinois, were she was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Dudley Jones, who was a devoted husband.

On August 31, 1975, Mrs. Jones cast her membership with the Greater Union Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. J.M. Moore.

On Friday, May 11, 1979, she answered the eternal call of the Almighty. She leaves to mourn her passing, a loving husband; one son; one sister; one brother; three grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
