Irene Hatfield Messinger 96 of West Hamlin WV passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born January 22, 1920 in Salt Rock WV, a daughter of the late Ben and Lizzy May Hatfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband Romie Messinger; brothers, Homer (Marie) Hatfield, and Okey (Veda) Hatfield; sisters, Eunice (Darrell) Cremeans and Shirley (Richard) Whaley. She was a member of Center Point Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Center Point Baptist Church, West Hamlin with Pastor Lennie Romans officiating. Burial will follow in the Ben Hatfield Cemetery, Madison Creek Rd., Salt Rock, WV.
Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the funeral Tuesday at the church.
