Evelyn "Toby" Dennis Jones, age 84, died Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Bracken County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Augusta, Kentucky. She was born on September 8, 1928, to the late William McKinley and Mary Elizabeth Case Dennis. She was a member of Triumph Christian Church, a past member of Chatham Christian Church, where she played the piano, and a member of Bracken County Homemakers.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Davis Lee Jones, who she married August 4, 1946; two sons, David W. Jones and Dennis L. Jones; and a brother, William P. Dennis. She is survived by: her daughter-in-law, Judy Welte Jones; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Dawn (David) Weiss, Shannon Dee Smith, Laura Nicole Fraley, Erica Camille (Joey) Latella and Brian (Tracey) Jones; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Roberta Shepherd, of Brooksville; and a brother, James Dennis, of Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, in Brooksville. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope.
