Helen was a lifetime homemaker, and her greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Helen was also an avid animal activist.
Helen in survived by her daughter, LaDonna (Philip) Mayer; three grandchildren, Craig (Kimberly) Burkhalter, Blake Burkhalter, and Scott Smith; five great-granddaughters; two great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Colley Jr.; her parents; and three sisters, Lorene Cains, Larna Jean Peters, and Phyllis Mae Bailey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richland County Humane Society.
