Since 1966, Frank has been involved in public activities of various kinds that have benefitted the people of Sequoyah County. He wrote and was responsible for the subsequent funding of The Foster Grandparent program in Sequoyah County and other Eastern Oklahoma counties. This program gave jobs to some elderly residents who needed jobs. He was responsible for The Green Thumb Project being in Sequoyah County long before other Eastern Oklahoma counties. This program also benefits the elderly by giving men jobs to improve their income level by doing public works type projects. He is responsible for the funding of the family planning clinic that was operated by the County Health Dept. He was actively involved in activities leading to the construction of the water line from Lake Tenkiller to the Arkansas line that benefited many in District 3. He worked closely with others in obtaining funding for the nutrition program for the elderly operating in Sequoyah County. He was one of the people directly responsible for the construction of the new County Health Building just north of Sequoyah Memorial Hospital.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Nina Black and Nell Griffin and 1 brother-Richard Griffin.
Frank is survived by his wife-Jaymee, Step sons; Roy A. Briggs, Johnny R. Briggs and Edward R. Sitton. 7 grandchildren and 2 Nieces.
