She later worked for various insurance companies and also worked for the Portland Police Bureau in Portland, Oregon. Lillian married twice, first was Socrates Portias and her second marriage to William D. Morris in 1921. William adopted her son George Portias from her first marriage. Lillian died in The Dalles, Oregon in 1966 .
