He was born June 13, 1889, the son of the late Fredrick C and Mary Sue Nichols Alexander, natives of York County. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Bessie Kiser Alexander, six sons, Robert C., Eldred P. and Howard of York, John W. and Floyd C. of Rock Hill and Louis J of Clover: two daughter, Mrs. Lula Greene of York and Mrs. Helen Lawing of Charlotte, N. C.; three brothers, T. D. Alexander of Kings Mountain, L. G. Alexander of Clover and C. J. Alexander of Smyrna; two sisters, Mrs. Liza Nichols of Clover and Mrs. Lule Neelands of York; 22 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
