Kenneth George Blevins died Sept. 9, 2006, in Ontario, Calif., after a lengthy illness. He was 68.

Kenneth was born Jan. 8, 1938, in Craig to Alfred G. and Ferma Irene (Talkington) Blevins. He was raised and attended school in Craig. Kenneth joined the Air Force at age 17 and served his country for 20 years. He was stationed in various places including England, Spain, Thailand, Cambodia, Japan, San Diego and other bases in the United States.

Since retirement, he had lived in San Diego, San Bernadino, Lakeside and Highland, Calif. He worked a number of odd jobs.

Kenneth enjoyed being outdoors and building model cars. He was a very dedicated family man. His daughter, Shawn, was the love of his life, along with his stepgrandson, Devin Dawson.

He is survived by his daughter, Shawn Blevins, of Gillette, Wyo.; a sister, Wilma (Mickey) Hayes of Hayden; a brother, Lynn (Kathy) Blevins of Hayden; and several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Alice Bordeaux; and a niece, Michelle Hayes.
Memorial services were Sept. 22, 2006, at Grant Mortuary in Craig, with Wayne DeLuca officiating. The hymns "Peace in the Valley" and "You Are My Sunshine" were sung by Karen Brown, who was accompanied on the organ by Ann Carr. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth's family and many friends. His cremains were interred in the Veterans Section of the Craig Cemetery with military honors provided by the Air Force.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sol-Domus (Sunshine House), a group home for the handicapped where his daughter is cared for, in care of Grant Mortuary, 621 Yampa Ave., Craig, CO 81625
