Delphia Faye Finch, age 81 of rural Unionville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at her home.

She was born on January 5, 1935 in Mendota, Missouri, the daughter of Pearl and Flo (Vincent) Clinkenbeard. Delphia graduated from Livonia High School in Livonia, Missouri.

Delphia was united in marriage to Stanley Finch on July 5, 1952 at the Christian Church in Unionville, Missouri.

She worked for several years at St. Joseph Hospital and Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. Her responsibilities for the organization included office administrative duties.

Most importantly, Delphia prided herself in being both a wife and a mother to her five children, Robin, James, Gerald, Melody, and Holly. Her family, as well as her Christian faith, were the two most important components in her life. A lifetime believer in the strength of the Lord, Delphia believed that "only what's done for Christ will last." She was a lifetime member of the Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church in Chariton, Missouri until its closing in 2008. Most recently, Delphia was attending the Faith United Methodist Church in Centerville, Iowa.

Delphia had a passion for music, including her favorite pastime, playing the piano and organ. She spent many years playing her favorite hymns.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty four years, Stanley Finch of rural Unionville, Missouri; five children, Robin (Tom) Spring of Centerville, Iowa, James (Ann) Finch of Unionville, Missouri, Gerald (Nina) Finch of Centerville, Iowa, Melody (Terry) Emery of Houston, Texas, and Holly (Stacy) McMillan of Jefferson City, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Margle Wright of Sacramento, California and Susie Mullins of Cuba, Missouri.

Delphia was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jimmy Clinkenbeard; and a granddaughter, Heather Spring.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Cindy Finn officiating. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 12:30 PM-2 PM at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville. According to Delphia's wishes, following the funeral, she will be cremated and an inurnment will take place at a later date in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery, Chariton, Missouri. Memorials have been established to either the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Northeast Missouri and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
