WINNSBORO - Services for James R. "Bob" Beard, 88, of Winnsboro, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel of Winnsboro, with Brother Richard "Nub" Brown and the Rev. Allen Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Willard Cemetery.
Mr. Beard died October 15, 2006, in Winnsboro. Born September 19, 1918, in Winnsboro. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during World War II, retired from Cain Bank, and member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian May Brown Beard; son, James Robert Beard Jr.; daughters, Cynthia Beard Henson, Mary Lee Beard, and Sue Beard Reid; and brothers, Rex Beard, Ray Beard, Charles Beard, and Don Beard.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
