John Gayl of 1703 N. Mercer St. was the widower of Ethel Brennaman and the son of John S. Blim and Mary Lawrence. The informant on his death certificate was Mrs. Marjory Norris of New Castle and he was buried 20 Nov 1961 in Graceland Cemetery.

John and Ethel had daughters Marjory Alice(Blim) Norris & Dorothy Louise Blim.

"J Gayl Blim, 71, 1703 N. Mercer St., died at 1:07 a.m. today in Jameson Memorial Hospital after an illness of the past 10 days.
He was born in New Castle, Feb 22, 1890, son of the late John S. and Mary Lawrence Blim. He was married on Aug. 5, 1915 to the former Ethel Brenneman who preceeded him in death, Feb. 18, 1950. He was employed by U.S. Steel Corp. for 45 years until his retirement six years ago...."
