She met the love of her life Joe working as a car hop at the 5 spot diner in downtown San Jose in the late 1940's. Patsy was 82 years old and lived most of her life in the valley of Almaden as a farmer's wife.
Patsy enjoyed life in Almaden raising her two sons while farming apricots, prunes and walnuts until the late 70's when the family ranch retired. What Patsy loved most was being surrounded by family and friend's in their Almaden home.
Patsy is preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Patterson in 1978, her son Peter in 2005 and her husband Joe in 2008 .∼Patsy Sue Caggiano, resident of San Jose, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends June 2, 2011. She was born in Henrietta, Oklahoma on November 21st 1928. She moved to the San Jose area at a very young age. Patsy will be greatly missed by her son Michael and his wife Donna, grandchildren Carrie Caggiano-Ward, Craig Ward of San Jose, Mary & John Drozdowski of Anchorage, Alaska, Patricia Caggiano, Krista & Jeff Johnston and Michelle Caggiano of Longmont Colorado. Grandma Patsy will be greatly missed by her great grandchildren Natalie and Sawyer Drosdowski of Anchorage, Alaska and our recent family addition Kayla Johnston of Longmont Colorado. Patsy is preceded in death by her loving husband Joe in 2008 and her loving son Peter in 2005. Friends are invited to attend memorial services 1:00 pm Tuesday June 7th, 2011 at Lima Family Erickson Funeral home, 710 Willow Street, San Jose, Ca. Donations can be made to hospice of the valley who we greatly appreciate for their loving care and support. Reception to follow at family home in Almaden.
