"[William] was called to fill a mission to the Eastern States soon after the birth of their first and only child, a lovely daughter. While engaged in the ministry in West Virginia Elder Clayson was stricken with typhoid fever from which he did not recover. His body was shipped home for burial and was laid to rest in the cemetery at Colonia Juarez."
