Bob Bransteitter, 48, of Blackburn, MO, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his home.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Daniel Nicholson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, north of Warsaw. There will be no visitation, but friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Foundation and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com


Born April 11, 1968 in Lexington, he was the son of George Oscar Bransteitter and Mary Ann Fairchild Bransteitter, who survive of Higginsville. Bob lived in Lafayette and Saline counties his entire life and was a 1986 graduate of Lexington High School. On May 18, 1999 he married Ruth Thomas Miller who preceded him in death on May 21, 2016. Bob had worked as a prison guard for several years, as well as having other jobs.


In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Kasi (Bransteitter) Davis and husdand Thomas of Homer, LA; one brother, Alan Bransteitter and wife Sandy of Odessa; one sister, Mary Bransteitter of Lebanon; two step-sons, Joe Miller of Marshall, and Merle Miller of Gainesville, FL; three step-grandchildren as well as two nephews.
