Dr. Frank L. Motz
Dr. Frank L. Motz, 73, 1006 Sunny Lane, died at 12:42 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1992, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Royar officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home. The family would appreciate memorials to First United Methodist Church.
Motz was born Sept. 13, 1918, in Logan, the son of Francis Lee and Lorena Thomas Motz. A graduate of Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indianapolis, he worked as a chiropractor for 45 years. He married Elizabeth Anderson on Feb. 11, 1939, in Franklin, Ind. They had lived in Fairfield since 1941. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was a parish assistant and a member of Meth-O-Weds Sunday School Class. He was a member of Fairfield Elks Lodge 1192 and Fairfield Lions Club, of which he was president 1978-79.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Connie Ryner of Geneseo, Ill., Joyce Miller of Mount Pleasant; a son, David Motz of Davenport; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Vesta Griffith of Independence. His parents preceded him in death.
