By 1920 Census, Emma has been dead for 7 years and her stepmother and Emma's half-siblings, Clarence V. and Catherine, are living in a rented house in Winston-Salem NC with Emma's half-sister, Mary Lois Connelly Park, and her family. Lula is not employed but she is shown as head of household. Neither Clarence age 19 nor Catherine age 16 are working or attending school. Andrew Park, husband of Mary Lois, is the only wage earner in the household and he is a bookkeeper at a factory. Lula may have sold the house in Statesville when Mary Lois married Andrew in 1916 and moved to Winston Salem for all of them to live together.

Mary Lois and Andrew Park had bought a house on Park Circle in Winston-Salem and Mary Lois was running a boarding house there in 1930 Census. They lived there with their two young children and with 5 lodgers.
By 1940 Census, Lula was living with her daughter, Catherine, and her husband and children in a rented house on Park Circle in Winston-Salem. Mary Lois and Andrew Park still lived on Park Circle also in 1940 Census with their children and one lodger. Lula died in 1942."
