Teresa M. Watson, 78, a long time resident of Santa Cruz, died in her home at 605 Pacific avenue yesterday following a cerebral hemorrhage on Friday evening.
She was born in Salinas. The oldest of 11 children in the pioneer Breschini family, and was married in 1901 to the late Henry Watson, one time Santa Cruz police officer and a son of Monterey county's first sheriff.
She is survived by a son, Milton Watson of New York, a former Broadway stage and radio singing star; a granddaughter, Peggy Ann; a daughter, Madeline (Mrs. Walter Nilsson), of Santa Cruz and several sisters and brothers.
Mrs. Watson was a devout member of the Catholic church and the Altar society.
Interment in the Catholic cemetery in Salinas.
