Mo. A patient there for four years, he passed away on May 9, 1952. He was born in Brumley April 13, 1901, the son of the late Fred and Lura Conner Craft, and a grandson of the late Dr. J. L. Conner.
In 1918, he was married to Nannie Hawkins Houser and they were the parents of two children, Walter Craft, Jr. who is in the Navy and stationed at San Diego, and Juanita Craft, who is in the home at Springfield. All survive him, besides two grandchildren and other relatives.
He was a member of the Brumley Christian Church. In 1942 he enlisted in the Navy and recieved a disability discharge in 1944.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 11th, at the Brumley Christian Church with Rev. Polly Weeks officiating. Interment was in the Hawkins Cemetery under the direction of the Hedges Funeral Home of Iberia. The pallbearers were; Frank McDowell, Henry Luttrell, John Doherty, Burnice Thornsberry, Joe Wall and J. W. Luttrell.
