Ramona Augusta Elizabeth Krambeer, 95, of Monona, Iowa died Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society, Postville, Iowa.

Ramona Augusta Elizabeth was born to Carl G. and Frieda (Kaiser) Schultz on July 31, 1920 at her parent's home on South Main, Monona, Iowa. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church by Rev. Albert Daugs on August 29, 1920 and confirmed on December 9, 1934. Ramona graduated from Monona High School in 1937 and attended Luther College from 1937 to 1939 and graduated from Cedar Rapids Business College in 1940.

Ramona was united in marriage with Harlan Krambeer on October 16, 1941 at St. Paul Lutheran Church by Rev. Siefkes.

She and her brother Gordon owned and operated the Schultz Funeral Home in Monona. She also owned and managed an apartment building in Monona that was the old Monona School. Ramona drove ambulance, was the Justice of the Peace and an EMT.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the over 40's club and Monona Community Club. She served on the Clayton County Board of Adjustment and the Good Samaritan Nursing Home Board for many years. Ramona was very active in several groups at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was the founding donor and first resident at the Garden View Senior Community. She enjoyed researching family heritage and loved to travel.

Ramona is survived by two grandsons; Rayne (Mary) Krambeer of Dubuque and Jared (Lindsay) Krambeer of Monona; four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Danielle, Nicklaus and Benjamin Krambeer; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Hefel of Monona; and several nieces and nephews.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, Carl G. and Frieda Schultz; husband, Harlan; son, Lee Allan Krambeer; grandson, Wade Krambeer; and brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Eileen Schultz.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona, Iowa with a two hour visitation from 9-11 am before services at the church on Saturday. Rev. Erika Kielstrup will be the Officiant.

Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Monona, Iowa.
