(Rodeheaver) Reckner; sons Harry married to Judy (Weaver), Geistown; Robert, Hollsopple; Thomas married to Debbie (Fedornock), Hollsopple and John married to Debbie (Fetchko), Windber; grandchildren Dave, John, Bob, Kim, Derek, T.J., Tiara, Katie, Matthew and Michael; great grandchildren Parker, Carson, Landon and Peyton; sisters Euldean Shields, Windber; Donna married to Warren “Bussie” Shaffer, Hooversville; Janice Lint, Boswell and Dorcas married to James Garlesky, Hollsopple and numerous nieces and nephews.
A U.S. Army veteran of WWII having served in the European Theater where he participated in the invasion of Normandy and was awarded the Purple Heart. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown. Member of former Jerome Church of the Nazarene, Jenner Rod & Gun Club and the Jerome Polish Falcons. Past president of Jerome Sportsmen. He enjoyed playing baseball, hunting, fishing, gardening and canning.
Friends received from 5-7PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Rd., Davidsville where a service will be held 11AM Saturday with Rev. Pete Kaltenbaugh presiding. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery with military honors by Somerset County Honor Guard.
