Betty L. Rinehart, 90, of Shippensburg, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Orrstown Personal Care Home.

Born Saturday, January 9, 1926 in Saxton, Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late Levi S. and Edna I. “Dolly” Dick Brumbaugh.

Betty was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, a Life member of both the Oscar M. Hykes American legion Post #223 and Durff-Kuhn VFW Post #6168 Ladies Auxiliary, all in Shippensburg. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Shippensburg Fair craft building. Betty liked to sew, crochet, do crafts, playing BINGO, and spend time with her family.

Betty is survived by three daughters; Karen S. (William) Keefer, Shippensburg, Joyce R. (James Worden) Shirley, Enola, and D. Kay (Martin) Bolo, Manassas, VA, one sister, Dorothy (Donald) Foore, Enola, six grandchildren; Janet Wetzel, Traci Fick, Dustin Keefer, Scott Shirley, Todd Shirley, and Allison Shirley, nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. “Gene” Rinehart who died February 27, 2011, a brother, Jack and his wife Evelyn Brumbaugh, a grandson, Bradley D. Keefer, a son-in-law, Donald R. Shirley.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in the Grace United Church of Christ with the Rev. George W. Heckard officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
