(Data extracted from Hastings/Hasting/Hasten and/or Dunnavant/Dunavant/Dunivant/Dunnivant and collateral families research records of Ruth Hasten Walsh) In 1990s and early 2000s, many researchers claimed Tennie was buried in Forreston Cemetery, Ellis Co., Texas. It took 2 trips to Texas and many interviews with then living family members before on-line cemeterey records) to find Tennie's burial site. This search proved that oral histories and memories are sometime faulty. Georgia Tennessee "Tennie" Toone Smith is buried Mount Olivet Cemetery, Rose Section, Lot 252, Space 6. The cemetery records have her name listed as Mrs. George T. Smith. She was buried Sept. 15, 1943.
