Attending Ashton High School, Utah State University and Woodberry Business School, he was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea as a finance officer. Developing an interest in dancing, he attended the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and became an instructor. He and his partner became a traveling dance team in Florida, New York and on cruises.
Returning to Ashton, he managed the farm operation upon his father's death. Cattle became his love and he developed a herd with ever increasing interest. A gracious, kind and charitable man, he was very gregarious.
His brothers, Chris Harrigfeld, Fritz (Frankie) Harrigfeld, Ira Harrigfeld and John Harrigfeld, along with nieces and nephews survive him. His parents and brother, Ernest Harrigfeld predeceased Bill.
