There were four children born to this union: Columbus Rudolph Bradford, John Henry "Jack" Bradford, Reuben Randolph Bradford, James Thomas Bradford. In 1853, William Henry and his wife Mary came to Texas settling in Hunt County.

After the death of his first wife, William Bradford stopped for a few months in Dallas County where Oak Cliff is located today. He traded his oxen for horses and went as far as Buffalo Gap in Taylor County where he stayed for a short time, returning east and landing in the South Fork of Palo Pinto Creek south. William Henry Bradford decided to come to Palo Pinto County in 1860, settling in the vicinity of what is now Brazos, south of the present town of Strawn. When the Civil War broke out, he and the Cowden families and two other families forted up in the bend of South Fork of Palo Pinto creek. The land in 1974 was owned by Mrs. Vivian Allen, a descendant. All of his children lived in this area near Palo Pinto Creek or Lone Camp.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
