Blanche Ward Fulbright, 83, entered into eternal rest on October 21, 2006. She was a faithful member of Durkee United Methodist Church for 41 years. Blanche was also a member of the Eastern Star where she was recognized as a past Worthy Matron of the Aldine Lodge. She was a widow of a police officer who dedicated his life to the force for 30 years and joined the Daughters of the Nile Tabeel Temple. Later in life she graduated from the University of Houston Realty School, joined the Houston Board of Realtors and sold real-estate for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, O. V. Fulbright. Her memories will be cherished by her sister, Marguerite Harris; children: Peggy J. Blake and husband Thomas, Bertie Alice Robert and husband Don; grandchildren: Heather L. Sommer and husband Lesley, Russell D. Blake and wife Katy, Tammy L. Gaines and husband Andrew, Kathy Jo Pobst and husband Brad; five great-grandchildren; nephews: John T. and Robert G. Harris. Family received friends from 5-9 PM, Monday, October 23, 2006. Funeral service were at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 24, 2006. Both services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
