Yesterday afternoon Mrs. Sophie Hoyer, widow of the late Julius Hoyer, who was for many years City Collector, died at her late residence at the corner of Alamo and Goliad streets, and will be buried this evening at 5 o'clock.
As Mrs. Hoyer was widely known and much respected by her many friends her death is much regreted. To her young family, among whom are Mr. Paul Hoyer, the affliction is indeed a sad one, and the LIGHT offers them it's hearty sympathy in their bereavement.
