Archie H. McDugal, 61, of Gholson, passed away late Friday, May 20, 2016, in Waco. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Aderhold Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2016, at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Jimmy Sansom officiating. Burial will follow in Gholson Cemetery.
Archie was born in Waco, Texas, to Archie Hollis McDugal Jr. and Lelia (Walker) McDugal. He attended school in Gholson and was a 1974 graduate of West High School. Archie was a carrier for the U.S. Post Office for many years. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Gholson. Archie was a dirt track racer and loved tinkering with cars. He also enjoyed fishing, telling stories, and was well liked by his many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hollis; and a sister, Molly Adair.
Survivors include his mother, Lelia McDugal; brother, Mark McDugal; brother-in-law, Ricky Adair, all of Gholson; nieces, Melissa Sulak and husband, Eddie, and Janie Adair; nephews, Tim Adair, and Adam McDugal and wife, Tami; several great-nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
