Alice L. Willms age 74 of Orland, Indiana passed away early Thursday morning May 19, 2016 at her home.
She was born July 31, 1941 in Sturgis, Michigan daughter of the late Charles A. and Gladys Leone (Good) Bowdish.
Alice resided in Orland for the past 46 years. Her early life was lived in the Sturgis and Burr Oak area and she was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1960.
On April 13, 1968 she married Larry Willms in Angola, Indiana.
Alice had been employed the Harrod Company in Kendallville, Indiana and she was a dedicated home maker, wife, mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed collecting angels and Christmas houses. Her incredible cooking skills will be missed by many, especially her famous noodles and bread and she loved her dog Buddy.
She is survived by her husband: Larry; three daughters: Cindy Mullins of Elkhart, Indiana Renee (Robert) Hornback of Columbus, Ohio and Tricia (Ted) Benhower of Orland, Indiana; one son: Allen (Heather) Willms of Angola, Indiana; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; four sisters: Phyllis D. Curtis of White Pigeon, Michigan, Janet Holsinger of Howe, Indiana, Cheryl (Roy) Johnson of Burr Oak, Michigan and Kathleen (Roger) Dickison of Montpelier, Ohio; two brothers: Dwight (Becky) Bowdish of Plant City, Florida and Porter (Diane) Bowdish of Howe, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Raymond Bowdish and brother-in-law: Paul Holsinger.
The family invites family to join them at 1:00 P.M. Saturday for a short viewing and burial at the Pretty Prairie Cemetery in rural Howe, Indiana which will be followed by a time of fellowship and the sharing of memories and honoring the life of Alice Willms in the Pretty Prairie Church located on the cemetery property.
