Martha married William Henry Burroughs about 1896 and was the mother of nine children, with one daughter dying in infancy. She and William moved from Missouri to Pittsburg, Kansas in about 1902.
After Martha was widowed in 1915, she remained in Pittsburg until after 1936, when she moved to California, as did most of her children.
She died at the age of almost 86 years.
