Mr. Francis R. Sawyer, 76, a resident of 633 N. 4th Street, Manitowoc, died Saturday evening, November 17, 1990 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. William Zimmer with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum.
He was born November 30, 1913 at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, son of the late Charles and Louise Ludge Sawyer. He was a long time employee of the Manitowoc Company, retiring in 1977. He married LaVerne M. Delwiche on February 15, 1938 at Sturgeon Bay. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne, two children, Gary (Evelyn) Sawyer and Mark (Lynn) Sawyer, all of Two Rivers; a brother, Edward Sawyer of Sturgeon Bay; three sisters, Pearl of Denver, Colorado, Norma (Milton) of Sturgeon Bay and Marion of Sturgeon Bay, also other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Roxann; four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-9 pm. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm led by Rev. Zimmer.
