John C. "Jack" Caranci, age 71, of Council Bluffs, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016, at Hillcrest Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Bellevue, NE.

Jack graduated and received his Ph.D from Creighton University. Jack served his country 20+ years in the US Air Force and the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Jack married Lannie Lee Ingamells on January 19, 1991. He was a member of Flanders Field American Legion Post #13E02 and Bluff City Masonic Lodge.

Jack played bass guitar in many local bands in the Omaha, NE area as well as The Lonely Boys, a band in Belgium.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, and 3 brothers.
