Joseph Jay Bullock "Jay" Jay was born February 14, 1932 in Logan, Utah to Joseph Bailey Bullock and Janett McNeil. He passed Friday, February 2, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah of natural causes.

Jay attended primary and secondary schools in Logan, Utah. He attended Utah State University and later Brigham Young University from which he received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Jay graduated from The George Washington University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1959.

Jay and Carol P. Mickelson were married June 27, 1963. Their life together was one of constant support and companionship in many projects and adventures. Jay was a consummate lawyer who practiced in Salt Lake City until the day before his passing. For more then a decade both of his children were fortunate to practice with and learn from him. Jay loved his family and his work.

Jay is survived by his loving wife, Carol; their son, Clint, and Clint's wife, Melanie, and their daughter, Karen, and Karen's husband, Jim Kreeck. He is also survived by four grandchildren, a relationship from which Jay and the grandchildren all derived great joy.

Services in honor of Jay will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the Monument Park 9th/11th Ward house at 1565 South Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. The family will receive visitors from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 12 noon with the dedication of the grave to follow. Interment and funeral services provided by Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances to benefit the Utah Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
