Services for Mrs. Susan Elsie Ward, 96, of Oxford, Rt. 6, were today at Iron City Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Murray officiating. Burial was in Chosea Springs Cemetery with Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in charge.
Mrs. Ward died Sunday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include three sons, Bernice A. Ward, Sr. and Douglas A. Ward, both of Chosea Springs, and Robert A. Ward of Iron City; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Busby of Chosea Springs and Mrs. Jessie Morgan of Anniston; a brother, Sam Pollock of Anniston; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were B. A. Ward, Jr., Walter Ward, Bobby Ward, Billy Ward, Winfred Ward and Larry Ward.
Mrs. Ward was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County.
The body will remain at the funeral home until one hour prior to services.
