Raymond (Junior) June Harris went to be with the Lord Thursday May 12th at the age of 89.

Junior was preceded in death by his father James Oscar Harris, and mother Alice Maybell Kimbro. He was also preceded in death by his son Michael Harris; and siblings Clifford Harris and spouse Dolly, Fay Lynn and spouse Paul, Elsie Biggs and spouse Vernon, Margie Taylor, Ada Mae Heffington and spouse Bill.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 62 years Nelda (Pabst) Harris, and his dog "Buster". He is also survived by his sons Lee Harris and spouse Martha, Joe Harris and Konnie, and Jimmy Harris; his grandchildren Robyn Everett and spouse Jay, Raven Proctor and spouse Bradly, Stasi Vance, Jessica Morris and spouse Todd, David Harris, Jacquelyn Harris, Derrick Robbins and spouse Griesel, Season West, Chelsea Warden and spouse Kent, Chrystyna Burt, and Sierra Burt. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, and close family friends Kimberly Thomas, Sherry Allphin, Robin Harris and Jimmy Shaw.

Junior loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly, and was always "tickled" when they would come to visit. To them his name was, and forever will be "Pampaw".

Junior Harris was born on July 11th, 1926 in Georgetown Texas, and moved to Oatmeal Texas when he was 8 years old. During the depression he worked on the family farm, and cut cedar in the off season, sometimes earning more than he did working the fields. He would also go to west Texas to pull cotton. He bought his first horse "Tony" when he was 17, by saving his earnings of usually about 75 cents a day. He met his wife Nelda at the Bluebonnet Café in Marble Falls Texas in 1954, and was married 6 months later. He worked at a rock crushing plant and at Granite Mountain in Marble Falls before retiring from Burnet County. He later ranched at the Hickory Pass Ranch in Smithwick Texas.

Junior sang, played the fiddle and guitar for the Oscar Boultinghouse band, and the David Halbert band. He loved to dance. He and Nelda were always the first couple on the dance floor at the Bertram street dance, and at the oatmeal festival.

Junior joined the Oatmeal Church of Christ as a young man, and knew the Lord well. He will be greatly missed by all.
