L.E. Tucker Succumbs to Double Pneumonia

L.E. Tucker, prominent community and church leader of the Sunnyside community, passed away at the local hospital last Thursday morning, May 23, succumbing to an attack of double-pneumonia.

The deceased was forty-nine years of age and a charter member of the Sunnyside Baptist church, having resided in Castro county for the past fourteen years.

Surviving him are his widow, and two sons, Tracy and Wayne. Other relatives are R.M. Ferguson, Mr. and Mrs. F.X. Tucker of Clovis, N.M., Mrs. H.E. Blackwood and Ray Tucker of Abilene, E.V. Carter and family, J.D. Tucker and family and A.B. Tucker and family, all of Clovis, N.M., Mrs. Ada Cross of Longworth, Mrs. Bert Battles and daughter of Snyder, Mrs. R.M. Carter and son of Lubbock and B.M. Ferguson and family, Mrs. G. Ferguson and daughters and R.A. Ferguson, all of Sunnyside.

The News extends its deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.

Pallbearers were Messrs. R.A. Ferguson, B.M. Ferguson, E.B. Carter, A.B. Tucker, Ray Tucker and J.D. Tucker. Nieces of the deceased acted as flowergirls.
