protect state from Rebels, in Leroy Company. signed 2 Nov 1898 in Craighead Co AR.

11 Nov 1864, Solomon enrolled in Co C 59th Reg IL, at Quincy, IL, commanded by Capt HENDERSON.

25 Dec 1864 lost finger on right hand while cutting kindling at Camp Butler, IL.

15 Jul 1865, stepped in hole, sprained ankle near Green Lake, TN, while on drill.

March 1865 hurt back, while carrying heavy load around waist, on march from Bulls
Gap to Warm Springs, NC, happened near Greenville TN.

Willard MORRIS, age 55 a resident of Sidney twp., Fremont co IA, swears to knowledge
of Solomon's injuries he sustained on 25 Dec 1864, at Camp Butler, 20 Jul 1865, at
Green Lake, TX, and at or near Greenville in April 1865. He also states Solomon
sustained disease of the eyes, continuing up until his discharge. signed 4 Oct 1898
in Fremont Co IA.

17 Nov 1865, Solomon discharged at San Antonio TX.
