Mary Nelson Atkin
April 9, 1926 - May 10, 2016
Mary Nelson Atkin, 90, peacefully passed away on the morning of May 10th, 2016. She was born on April 9, 1926 in Weston, Idaho to Guy Henry Nelson and Thora Emma Kofoed.
She married her husband, John Dwain Atkin, who preceded her in death, on October 18, 1944 in the Logan, Utah temple. Mary loved music and always had a song to sing for every occasion. She also loved to travel. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by two of her children, Christine and Jim.
Mary is survived by 6 children,as well as 24 grandchildren, and over 50 great grandchildren.
With her loved ones she leaves a beautiful legacy of unconditional love, dedicated service, and great faith.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the LDS chapel located at 1134 North College Drive West, Twin Falls, at 2:00 p.m. A viewing will be held for family and friends prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
