Barbara Lee Eades, 72, of Lexington, passed away at 2:31 p.m. Tuesday (May 10, 2016) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.

Cremation rites were accorded and a memorial service will be 8 p.m. Tuesday at Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, with the Rev. Jason Collins officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the memorial home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Hudson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Gridley Emergency Medical Service or Gridley Fire Department.

Barb was born June 22, 1943, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Evelyn Bremar Harrison. She married Tilfred R. Eades on June 27, 1959, in Shelbyville. He survives, along with four children: Joe (Laurel Wasmer) Eades, Clinton; Diane (Tim) Overholser, Colfax; Beth Eades, El Paso; and Todd (Carol Etchison) Eades, Hudson; two sisters, Sharon Mayfield and Sandy Gordon, both of Bloomington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Barb owned and operated Eades Taxidermy, Fin & Feather pet shop and Companion Cockers. She also loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. She was a truly remarkable wife, mother and grandmother.
