Joseph Henry Sarrazine, 73, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Deland Hospital in Florida. Born in Fort Wayne he was the son of the late Alvin and Aileen Sarrazine. He attended Central Catholic High School, served his country in the Air force and retired from Dana Fort Wayne.

Joe is survived by his sons, Joseph (Clara) of Corunna and Jared (Mindy) Sarrazine of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Krause of Fort Wayne; brothers, Alvin “Sonny” (Sharon) of Hoffman Estates, Ill. and Doug “Louis” (Nancy) both of Barrington, Ill.; sister, Theresa Irene Dearduff of Port Orange, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, Nicole, Martin, Christina, Brandon, Linnea, Haley and Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Regina Sue (Botz) Sarrazine, on February 20, 2012.

Memorial Service is 1 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Covington Funeral home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling from 10 a.m., to 1 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials are to the ASPCA
