William R. Flinn of Newport died yesterday in the 71st year of his age. The funeral will take place from the residence of his son on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment will be made in St. James's Cemetery, Newport.
During his life, Mr. Flinn was a warm advocate of the temperance cause. A fitting obituary is contained in the words of George W. Todd, who, when asked last evening for some information regarding the deceased, replied: "He was a good man in all good things."

FUNERAL:
The funeral of William R. Flinn, late United States marshal, who died at the Homeopathic Hospital after an illness of three weeks, took place from his late home, Newport, at 2 o'clock this afternoon. It was largely attended.
Services were held at the Flinn residence, the Rev. J. H. Mitchell, pastor of the Newport, M. E. Church, officiating. Interment was made in the St. James Cemetery.
The pallbearers were: J. W. Mitchell, J. Frank, White, Samuel Kilgore, Marshall Johnson, John A. Cranston and William Atwood Weldin.
