Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Weiland Funeral Chapel for Myrtice Beasley, 100, of Madison, who died Oct. 17, 2006, at Bethel Nursing Home. The Rev. Steve Vetter will officiate. Burial will be in the Lamb Cemetery in Soperton, Ga.

Myrtice Irene Schwalls was born July 17, 1906, at Kite, Ga., to George and Nettie Mae (Hatcher) Schwalls. She married Sam Beasley at Wrightsville, Ga., on Aug. 31, 1936. He preceded her in death.

In Georgia, she worked as an L.P.N. at the Treutien County Hospital in Soperton. She was a member of the Dahlonega Senior Citizens and the Soperton Baptist Church. She has lived in Madison since 2001.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth (Neita) of Dahlonega, Ga., and one daughter, Kasey (Mel) Jacobson of Wentworth. She is also survived by three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one sister, Cora Perdue, of Lancaster, S.C.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister and a grandson.
