He served in the U. S. Navy from March 4, 1943 to Jan 29, 1946, as a ship's cook. He was married on June 5, 1949 to Virginia Dather at Norfolk. He and his wife owned and operated Bobb's Cafe for 32 years. He was survived by 1 daughter, 2 sons [1 with wife], 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 1 brother Marvin at Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife who died on Sept. 30, 2002, 1 brother, 1 sister.
