He was born February 14, 1951 in Beaufort County, son of the late Freddie L. and Etta Mae Mayo Anderson. He was in the logging industry.
Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Pamela Anderson; two sons, Michael Turnage (Teresa) of Bridgeton, and Michael Anderson of Connecticut; three daughters, Allison Sutton (Cody) of Reelsboro, Amy Bryant (Chris) of Charlotte and Brook Adams (Will) of Ft. Mill, SC; two sisters, Myra Thomas of New Bern and Sylvia Millard of Cove City and ten grandchildren, Zachary Simpson, Mack Simpson, Shelby Turnage, Anderson Line, Scarlett Bryant, Karrington Adams, Liam Adams, Kierston Anderson, Naomi Anderson and Dylan Anderson.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 8 at Pollock-Best Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Dixon officiating.
