Came to America with his parents in may 1884. Studied music in Fielding Academy in Paris and with JJ McClellan in SLC, UT. Received a mission call just before he was going to get married. Married Elizabeth J Winters June 5, 1912. Left for his mission the next day. Served in the German Mission from 1912 to 1914. Studied music under the masters while in Vienna and Breslau (modern day Wroclaw, Poland). Taught music in schools in Montpelier for many years. Moved to Ogden to teach. Died of typhoid fever at the age of 44, leaving 4 daughters.
