Henry Boling/Bowling is the son of Jarrett & Eleanor Garrison Boling/Bowling of St. Paul's Parish, Stafford, VA, and later Tazewell County, VA. After the American Revolution, Jarrett moved his family to the Washington/Russell County, VA area. Jarrett received a Land Bounty for his service in the American Revolution. The area in Russell County soon merged into what is now Tazewell County, VA, where Jarrett died. Henry was married to Mary Ann "Polly" Higginbotham, daughter of Robert & Nancy Blankenship Higginbotham on 19 Dec 1809 in Tazewell County, VA, by Rev David Young, Henry's brother-in-law. Sometime around 1813 Henry and family, along with Robert & Nancy Higginbotham, William & Fanny Higginbotham Garrison, moved to Madison County, Mississippi Territory, which later became Madison County, Alabama. Henry died not too long after he moved to Madison County. It appears that no one knows exactly where he is buried in the Hazel Green, Madison, AL area. We are still searching records for his burial place.
