Granville A. Carney, 74, of 902 Cannons Lane, died there at 8:15 p.m. Sunday. He was a native of Washington County and retired several years ago as an insurance representative in Louisville for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Lucille Yancey. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. LOUISVILLE (Spl.) - Services for Granville A. Carney, 74, of 902 Cannons Lane, brother of John Carney of Springfield, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Friends may call tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Carney, who died Sunday at 8:15 p.m. at his home, also is survived by his widow, Lucille; four other brothers, three sisters and 47 nieces and nephews.
