Died in Eagle Grove, Saturday, Sept. 12, 1891, Herman Card, aged eighty years and two months. He was born in New York state and moved west a few years ago visiting among their relatives. He and his aged wife, who survives him, have made their home with their daughter, Mrs. Gardner. The funeral took place from the latter's residence on the East Side, Monday afternoon at 2:30, Rev A . C. Zellhoefer delivering the sermon. A large concourse of sympathizing friends followed the remains to Rose Hill, where interment was made. Besides his wife and daughter, he leaves one son, William, who is a highly respected citizen of our city.
