Mrs. Elizabeth Artie Anderus Dowell was born February 7, 1876. She departed this life at 4:00 on the morning of December 13, 1945.

She was married September 14, 1893 to Rev. A.M. Dowell. To this happy union ten children were born, Rev. Ernest Dowell of Hobbs, N.M., Mrs. Bertha Greathouse of Dimmitt; Lester Dowell of Dimmitt; Louis Dowell of Clovis, N.M.; Mrs. Eunice Covington of Clovis, N.M.; Miss Ruth Dowell of Eureka, Kansas; Mrs. Gladys Todd of Abilene; Joe Dowell of Borger; Rev. W.E. Dowell of Springfield, Missouri; and Albin Dowell.

She had twenty-eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Her husband, Rev. A.M. Dowell, a son, Albin Dowell, two grandchildren and one great grandchild preceded her in death.

"Mother Dowell," as she was called, was converted early in life and joined the Baptist church. Her children and host of friends give testimony to the power of her righteous life. She has answered the call from God our Father "To Come Up Higher", and her spirit quietly passed away to join that great host of "Just Spirits Made Perfect". We shall miss her presence, but we will not forget her sweet, gentle character. May God's richest blessings be upon her loved ones.

Card of Thanks
May we express our deep appreciation for the many words and deeds of kindness during the illness and death of our beloved mother. For the many who prepared and served our meals, the visitors and helpers in the home, the singers, flower girls, ushers, those who prepared the grave, the beautiful flowers, those who had charge of parking and to Mr. Elmer Youts, and Bro. Lee, may we say Thank you and may God's richest blessings be upon you.
