Matilda de L'aigle was the daughter of
Richer de L'aigle, Seigneur de L'aigle (1050-1085) by his wife Judith d' Avranches (1055-1100). She married twice. Her first marriage was to Roger de Mowbray, Earl of Northumberland (1059-1125) in 1095 but was annulled by the Pope; she had no children by that marriage. Her second marriage was to Nigel d’Aubigny, 3rd Baron of Thirsk (1070-1129). She had no children by that marriage. She died childless.
