Stroke Proves Fatal To Mrs. Engle Here

Mrs. Jennie Engle died at a local hospital late Wednesday night where she had been taken a few hours before from her home at 322 North Twenty-second street.

Mrs. Engle was living alone and about 7 o'clock on Tuesday night as she was getting ready to retire she suffered a stroke. Several of F. J. Munshower's children, who are neighbors, called in between 9 and 10 the next morning to see her and found her lying prostrate on the floor. They immediately ran for their mother, who called a doctor at once. Mrs. Engle, while being 70 year old and more or less feeble, ha d not complained of being ill in any way. She only partly regained consciousness after her stroke.

Mrs. Engle celebrated her seventieth birthday last Sunday. She came to Billings about five years ago. Her husband died a few years before she came to Billings. Her mother, who is 88 years old, is Mrs. Phoebe Shonkwiler and lives in Seattle. A son, G. A. Harkleroad, living at Portland, Ore., has been notified of his mother's death. She also has sisters living whose addresses are not known.

Funeral arrangements await word from the son.
